Our mission goes beyond driving real estate investment, we aim to inspire a sustainable transformation across the entire value chain of the built environment. Being part of the Biosphere community recognizes our continuous effort to align with the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals, promoting responsible, inclusive, and lasting growth.

In collaboration with Ocean52, all water distributed during the event comes in reusable aluminum bottles, eliminating single-use plastics and packaging. Moreover, 52% of Ocean52’s profits go toward ocean conservation projects, ensuring that every sip helps protect our planet.

We’ve gone fully digital from the event guide in The District App to QR-based exhibitor listings and digital networking tools, removing paper use entirely from our event.

Across the venue, you’ll find recycling points to help us reduce and separate waste. And 65% of the materials used in our common areas are reused from previous editions, minimizing construction waste and our environmental footprint.

The District takes place at Fira Barcelona, a venue powered exclusively by renewable energy since 2020.

The Gran Via site hosts one of the largest rooftop solar installations in the world, with 25,947 panels generating 5.86 GWh of electricity annually preventing over 2,200 tons of CO² emissions each year.

The venue is also fully accessible for people with reduced mobility, reaffirming our commitment to making The District a space for all.
